 Is there an easy to back up all the photos on my computer?

 i have windows xp pro and would like to schedule a basic error check to run automatically whenever i start the computer. i want the error check set up to automatically fix file errors, but not to scan and replace any bad sectors - just a quick version of the error check. i have tried the schedule tasks function, clicking browse to look through everything on local disk c, but can't seem to find the error check program. i don't want the disk clean, just the quick version of the error check as described above to automatically run each time i start the computer. any help or suggestions would be appreciated. - jim
